DEQ awards drinking water planning grant to Bayview Water and Sewer District, Kootenai County

BOISE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) today announced the award of a drinking water planning grant in the amount of $24,500 to the Bayview Water and Sewer District in Kootenai County.
The funds will be used to prepare a planning document and environmental report. The purpose of the project is to evaluate the water system’s deficiencies and identify necessary improvements.
The total eligible cost of the project is $92,100. The remaining $67,600 will be funded by the Bayview Water and Sewer District.
You may wonder why this matters. Think about it, we will be paying for the remainder of this grant.
